    Memorial Day BBQ
I hope it doesn't rain. After installing hardwood floors in my condo this weekend, I'm having a BBQ. I bought a new propane grill and built a smoker last night. The menu includes grilled grecian lamb chops, T-bones, New York Strips, beer can chicken, smoked pork sandwiches (w/ my own Carolina style sauce), smoked white fish, BBQ brisket, cedar plank salmon and unfortunately turkey hotdogs and garden burgers for my g/f's hippy friends (if there's room on the grill). Plus an array of appetizers and sides including grilled jumbo prawns and a couple of fresh cicada dishes. That's right, I finally get to put my cicada recipe book to use this year. Add plenty of beer, spiked and energized fruit punch, cocktails, frozen drinks and a bean bag game and it should be a good time. That's how I throw down. I hope it doesn't rain. Anyone else throwing a bash to kick off summer?

Wow, sounds like a feast! I don't have anything planned, wish I were coming to your place :D

Saturday night we are taking my daughter to her first live action midnight RHPS. I think it will be fun, but staying up that late is gonna kill me.

No major plans here. Hope to just enjoy a longer weekend before wrapping up the last few days of school. It will be quiet here after that but the workload won't get any lighter!

My grill will be earning its pay I'm sure. In the spring/summer months I'm pretty much in charge of the "main course" for our dinners and the grill gets used daily. I LOVE grill food!

Probably cruise around on the bike and see what's happ'n to.

Sounds fun. And more relaxing than manning 2 grills and a smoker all day, while drinking heavily and throwing bags. Oh, and installing hardwood floors.
