    Is this tank too big?
I have a 30G cube aquarium measuring 20"L x 20"W x 18"H that I would like to turn into a terrarium. Would this be too big for a 10 month old crested gecko? Thanks.

that should be fine for a 10 month old. just keep an eye on it to make sure it finds its food okay for the first week or so after the switch from whatever you have it in now.

Don't currently have anything, I'm just planning the set-up first. While I'm asking questions, do cresties need a cave or hide of some sort? Thanks.

As long as they have some good places to hide during the day like inside plants, or lots of plant cover you chould be fine. I have little coconut hides in my tanks and they never use them. They have lots and lots of plant cover though and usually climb in or under them. I have a hard time finding them during the day.

i give all of my adult geckos hides on the ground but they don't all use them. ones that do are in multiple gecko enclosures where some sleep in the leaves and branches and some sleep in the hides.
