    horse photos
I took some shots today when I let Cuesta and Emma in for dinner (grain) and re-released them, since it is so hot all day that they spend their time in the outdoor shelter and only graze at night. (They were only in for about 10 minutes, which explains the lack of straw in the stalls; airing out overnight!)
Inside: Emma was too nosy to eat her grain at first :)

Cuesta hoewver could not care less about the camera-wielder :)

Back outside, it took a few moments to get Emma to realize I wanted her to stand still, and not walk around me lunge-style, when I let out the leadrope :)

Cuesta, however, could've fallen asleep out there

They are beautiful. I love Emmas blue eyes. I really miss having horses. I had them growing up. Wish I had pics of them :(

    Thanks :)
I dreamed of horses while I was growing up in the city. I would ride/care for them at a family friend's place, and never wanted to go home at the end of the day.. this was definately a dream I have had to work my butt off for!

I bet, My dad sold both my horses for $1 a piece. I was so mad. I had a Mare that broke both of her back hips. Then I had another mare with a baby that my mom traded for a Cockatoo. I had no control over it cause I was really young. But someday I will have horses again. I loved them and I can't imagine spending the rest of my life not haveing them.

    Thanks :)
Emma (the white tovero) is actually not eligible to be reg'd as paint, because we know nothing of her lineage. But she could feasably be reg'd Pinto, as she threw a lovely Tobiano colt last year out of a solid black aqha stud, and we think that she is homozygous. We do not plan on breeding again at least for a few years, because the prices are definately down and we want to enjoy them as horses, not as mamas with babies in tow :) The babies are So fun though, teaching them and molding them.. we sold both of our '06 babies to a lady in PA and hope to see them this year.
Cuesta can be reg'd Paint (apha) but we have to get off of our butts and do so.. not easy with wedding expenses and all!
