    Custom Enclosures
I will be starting my BP in a standard terrarium. However, I eventually want to make something less generic and more aesthetic and practical. Does anyone here have experience building cages? Or even just building?

I was thinking of using MDF or quality plywood to make the base and back and sides with a glass/plexiglas front hinge locking door. Then maybe use tileboard or an epoxy based paint to make it retain humidity better.

    Any suggestions most appreciated.

I found that nifty page last night. I've never built a cage myself, but the man seems to know what he's talking about. If nothing else maybe it will give you some ideas for materials/techniques you hadn't thought to consider.

I build all my own cages and racks and have been for years. Here is one of the rack I built (the link also contains the plans) and I will try and post a picture of my latest cage shortly. If you have any specific questions I would be more than happy to help.

I also built my own cage....originally built for a monitor but modified for snakes. It is much cheaper than buying a prebuilt cage plus you can build it to your exact measurements. Mine is 4' X 6' X 3' with a sliding glass front and a hinged top.
