Bathing?
I have seen several posts about bathing your snakes. I understand about the stuck shed thing, but do you guys bathe your bp's on a regular basis? He has a large water bowl but he never goes in it that I see. I have yet to bathe him. Got him in March and he has had one shed at the end of March. I have my humidity at a steady 60%. Thanks! :)

Re: Bathing?
I do not personally have a BP, but of the snakes I do have, I do not bathe any of them on a regular basis. They only need it when they have stuck shed or some other kind of problem. If your snake needs to, it will use the waterdish on its own.

Re: Bathing?
sometimes it will help the snake relieve itself, but usually people may soak their tropical snakes, usually not ball pythons. I will soak my brazilian rainbow boa when I need to, but we had a tough winter with really low humidity, and even with a humidifier we had problems. but back to your question, its not really necessary to soak a bp unless there's a stuck shed, or unless humidity is low and you want to proactively soak them in moderation when they go blue to try and avoid problems

Re: Bathing?
We don't bathe or soak the BP's unless there's a specific reason. If a snake's messed in their wastes and gotta stinky, if a shed is stuck, a female coming off her eggs or a newly hatched BP, other than that these aren't snakes that soak or swim as a regular part of their natural lives.
