BP's Hiss?

Anyone ever heard any kind of noises like hissing from a BP?

I mean don't wanna come off rude, but yes they will hiss if they feel threatened.

yeh that happens when they're moody and don't wanna be messed with. Take it as a sign to go away :)

Was it a real hiss or doesnt it sound like shes whistling?

My adult Bp hissed when I had to open her mouth to get a peice of bark out her mouth. lol In my 12 years keeping her I never heard her hiss before. My borneo hisses all the time. I love her aggression though, makes up her character

i've been a bp owner for over 2 years now and have never heard either of mine hiss but every animal is different

My female will hiss at her tree for no good reason. I'll be working on the computer (her tank is near the wall behind the computer chair) and every now and then she'll let out a short, low hiss. Apperantly she's talking to herself as she's redecorating her enclosure herself, because the majority of the time when I notice her hissing, she's pushing the tree with her body to a different spot. She's never hissed at me while taking her out to handle her though.

Yup BP's do hiss. When they do it usually sounds like air leaking out of a tire.

Most of ours don't hiss much but we have two that consider hissing a form of saying "hello there human being, do you have a rat for me today?" :D Sometimes you'll hear a low sort of lazy, leave me be right now hiss, I've only heard a couple of really serious "if you don't back off immediately, I'm going to bite your stupid self!" hisses.
