How long do you?

Hi, everyone!

I just would ask a question to you. :worship:

"How long do you play with your Ball python?"

Well, I know the sounds a bit silly.
But you keep BP and sometimes you hold them whne you clean the cage up, when you ckeck the weight, the length, the condition etc.
And you would do some skinship with him/her soemtimes.

Royal Pythons are nervous, shy and sensitive animal.
Still how long do you touch him/her? and how often? :fishslap:

I don`t touch so often my BP, Poopy.
She`s just come to my house last week.

i usually "play" with mine for as long as i have to.sometimes it might be 10 minutes,sometimes it might be an hour.depending on how active he is.

I "handle" my snakes at the minumum of 15 minutes as any longer can cause them to stress.I do this at the average of every couple days unless they just ate.Then i wait 2 days at least before i bother them.

Your BP still eating well with that? Wow!

I also limit handling to about 15 to 30 minutes at a time, but I have fifteen, so no single one is really handled for that long more than once a week. They all pretty much get a quick handling every few days just to check out their general condition, make sure bellies are clean, scales look good, etc.

I handle her for just a very few minutes usually, on those occasions when I'm cleaning the tub or weighing her or whatnot. I check out her belly, vent, and face just to make sure everything is healthy...and just enjoy the feel of her for a few minutes, then let her go back home.

Only once a week at most...often only about every other week or so...do I take her out just for the sake of taking her out. Then its usually for 10-15 minutes of "playtime"....but every once in a while, she'll fall asleep draped over my shoulders and I'll just leave her there for as long as she's comfy. Those are my favorite times.

yeah...i dont bother him to often.i wait at least a day after handling and then i feed him.

Right. I do not handle my Poopy two days after she ate some food. That is my rule.
Do you think ball python get tame with human without stress? without refusing food? without fear? when you keep him/her for a while like for a year?

you cant really "tame" a snake.it's more like they learn to tolerate people.some BP's might not like to be handled which is why they end up being fussy sometimes.

OK stupid question alert: how can you tell if they're sleeping?
