little dents?

My eggs have odd little indented"spots" on them; they were like this when I found them but are a little more pronounced now... is this normal? I have the humidity at 100 percent.
Here they are today; I changed their container to a better one, because the other one came pretty close to the heating element in the inc. and I don't fancy burning the house down :) I bought this "Lock/Lock" brand air/water-tight container, and it is awesome.

To me the substrate looks a little on the wet side. Could cause a problem. Get the substrate right on, get the egg box sealed and get them in the stable incubator. Then leave them alone and let the rest happen as it should. The more you open the egg box, the more in the way of temp swings, loss of humidity and better the chance of bad things happening. I don't even air out my egg boxes once a week anymore. I do open the incubator once a week to make sure there is nothing unusual going on.

Hey jglass do you keep a record of each egg and weight to see if weight is increasing or decreasing? I will love to practice this method to get a better outcome on hatchlings

Nope...I don't weigh the eggs before incubating them and I don't bother them during incubation. I'm not sure how weighing them will give you a better outcome. The best outcome will come from proper incubation assuming the eggs are healthy to begin with.

I will weigh the eggs as a group before putting them in the incubator, but I leave the eggs alone as much as possible. The more you screw with them during incubation the more chance you have to mess something up. ;)

I mixed ins ome of the drier verm that I had, and it seems to be better consistency now, from what I have read that itshould be. I am not touching them now that they're in the better box.Those eggers surprised me; I thought I had more time to get a better container for them before they got laid! But I got to the store for it today, and it is staying put now.
I have my seperate incubator all ready for Ginger's clutch :)

I totally agree with as much abstenence as possible with the eggs but tracy and david weigh the density of the eggs and keep a record of each egg to see if there is too much moisture in the incubation or too dry. Im guessing this will work on growth of the egg.
But I have too tell you I felt more comfortable just letting them be just every week in a half I'll check the incubated area of the eggs and look for any negative things that can affect the egg.
