tank size

Okay.. Im thinking of saving up for these tanks for my corns and my future bp's. I was curious as to which size would be okay for a grown bp. Im getting the 36" ones for my corns:

wow... anybody?!

My tank is 36x18x12 and they say it will do for the life of the snake...so those should do...just curious about ventilation on that

according to the web site, there are two large ventilation areas where the lights would go. so I could maybe get the 36" ones for my future bp's too?! that would be great.

*BUMP* anybody? some input would be nice. :)

Well the second one would do good for an adult. Provided you can off hides maintain humidity and heat while still being able to clean weekly..

I bought 1 similar to that at 1st, for my BP, they do look great!
I just had so many issues that i've now switched over to tubs.
I wish i'd done it at the start!!

6 Months after i got mine I agreed to look after a friends normal female while she's workin abroad (long term) .
She was already in a tub and i found it so much easier that 6 months later i switched mine over to a tub too.

The issues i had was :-

* Heat pads on the inside... No good on the outside. (Water and Heat/Electrics never good close together) I didn't want heat lamps. (Surely with heat lamps humidity would be be close to zero!! It dry's the air) Never tried it tho.

* Humidity... keeping it constant was a nitemare!! (i didn't try live moss tho)

* Thermostat didn't seem to work very well.
(my theory is... that because the probe for the stat was between the wood and the mat the wooden base would hold the heat so the stat wouldn't turn the heat pad back on when it should. The air temp would get lower than what i would like)

*Because i have a snake who likes to bathe (she thinks she's an anaconda lol) i had the viv tilted slightly, away from the heat pad and all the excess water used to exit through the joints. (cat litter tray came in handy)

*Feeding... if she ever missed a feed (which was hardly ever, except for a 3 month period when she only eaten twice) it was always on my mind "is it me?? have i done something wrong??" Now i know she's either not hungry or issues of her own (girly things hehe)

There are a few more reasons as well (why i changed to tubs) but maybe there are workarounds for the issues i had.
At the end of the day it's up to you!!
Wooden vivs are a lot more pleasing to the eye and a lot more work and thought. IMHO

In all honesty, As good as the viv looked... i wouldn't go back now she's in a tub. She's happy and i'm happy if she's happy.

hhmm.. only thing its not a wooden viv, the UTH can go on the outside (there is a raised area). But it is things to keep in mind. thanx for the input.

They are really nice looking but old fashion looking in the same way.
