    First Feed = Success
Wooohooo! So proud of my new boy (unsexed)!

Mouse went in and he got him on the first strike as SOON as the mouse ventured to his side of the tank.

I took lots of photos, but am unsure if I should post them or not!

One small problem, I noticed that he may have gotten some Aspen with the mouse, as he accidentally dipped it in the water when turning it around. I know this isn't ideal, but I hope it's not too terrible either!

It shouldn't be a big deal unless he swallowed a lot of it. Congratulations!

I stopped using aspen beacuse of that reason. I hated my bp swallowing down a pound of that stuff. Im not a Vet but this happened to me about 9 years ago and I heard consumption of aspen can be bad. Im not too sure but go and do a little research. I just switched over to cypress mulch

He still is lurking like he's hungry. Think I should feed him another??

Here's the amount of aspen he's taking in:

    Hi Keeb,

That small an amount of aspen shouldn't be anything to worry about.:)

I'd wait till next week before trying to feed him again and see if you can get a nice regular feeding pattern going on. He's a nice looking fella so once he's had his 48 hours to relax and digest his meal I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures.
