    Radiant Heat Panels
    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here is using a Radiant Heat Panel. I have some questions.

I've got a T3 and am having trouble with my Ambient Temps for my Borneo Short Tail python. I just ordered one from Bean Farm tonight. I plan on using that along with the belly heat. Just hope I can wire it easily from inside of the AP cage.

they have a clip on plug, I'm guessing you're getting the proheat one, so its just the wire, then once you run it the plug snaps on.

It says it is an Eneryjoy. So I wont have to drill a HUGE hole in the side of the cage? And do they screw onto the top of the cage? Thanks!!

it definitely has holes for mounting i can see them on the sides, but I would imagine that the plug is the same and its just a clip on thing so all you would need to do is run the wires

but like i said i have this http://www.pro-products.com/proheat.html but again, I would imagine for such a specialized use for it they couldn't possibly do anything too different between the two companies

Awesome. My ambient temps (not including basking) are 73-77 which is way to inconsitent and low. With a 50 watt Heat Panel how much heat can that create?

are you using it for ambient or basking? mine is set at 85 for my BRB but it can get the substrate pretty hot, my apartment is also about 75+ which is terrible for me, but great for all my critters, i don't even need supplemental heat for the geckos or candoia. sorry back to heat panel, like i said i use mine for the warm side and it works fine for me, even in winter when i turn it up to 90 it seems to do the job

Well depending on how it works might be for basking. At the moment it will be for ambient. My room at the moment is like 70 but in the winter it can get down to 60...which upsets me. As long as I can get 78-82 ish I will be very happy.
