Re: Gripped by the addiction
Yes, she is a very pretty normal. If she's healthy and you like the deal - go for it. Do you WANT to keep her in that large an enclosure though?

Thanks for responding... I'm glad you think she's pretty too :) He says she eats well, and that's the biggest thing for me... He also said there were no signs of mites or anything else... it came from a much better pet store than my first BP did... I got him off craigslist too LOL.
I do like that tank, but if the temps aren't holding, I plan to hit the reptile expo here in Raleigh May 5-6 for a new tank. My sister wants the one my current BP is in (a 20L) for her teeny corn. (she isn't concerned it'll be too drafty) I think I'll just get another 20L for my BP, maybe a front open one from the glasscages.net guys? because he's only 135 grams and doesn't need such a huge enclosure and seeminly won't for a while... what size tank would be most appropriate for the 700 gram female? I know most here prefer the tubs, but I really like being able to see them without disturbing them... it's kinda part of why I keep them... do you think a 55L or...? Suggestions? And another question I have is if my male is only 135 grams and only a year younger how the heck did she hit 700g already? (the vet said my male was healthy even though he's little) Does that seem accurate for the picture?

I am 100% with ya, i greatly prefer tanks over tubs for that very reason.
Re: Gripped by the addiction
When was your male hatched? My '05's are all over 1000 grams now, so she's probably just right.
Tanks are always challenging to keep the husbandry in. Your male would probably do best in a 10 gallon and the largest your girl will need is a 30 gallon.
Re: Gripped by the addiction
I can see my snakes just fine in their tubs, but that's beside the point really. Tub or tank, it's a matter of preferance :D
I think the snake is gorgeous, hope you get her! And share pics

Wow, do you think I should just get him a smaller tank and just put the female into his 20 L for the time being? My male was supposed to be hatched between Jun-Aug 06 according to the petstore he was purchased at by the guy I got him from. He's tiny, but he's back on feed after failing to upgrade to rat pups...
Maybe I'm being too closed minded, SarahMB do you have a pic of your set up that you'd be willing to share?
Re: Gripped by the addiction
baby, budda, and montu are in 32 qt tubs, groper and sunita are in 40 gal breeder tanks, but they got 2 tubs when we go on vacation.. the rack we built was less then 200 bucks.. our 2 tanks we got over or close to 600....

I gotta say, the cats are VERY interested in the snakes! Eating skins whenever possible  and Nugget had a miraculous perfect shed the other day (miraculous due to his lamp being busted and him relying on a human heating pad with auto shut off and a little UTH heater on the side of his tank  I don't know how he'll do when he moves out with sister and I'm not around anymore :() and the stinking cats ate it...
Sarah, how big are your snakes? Man it must feel good to open up that closet! :sunny:
