    Feeding Time.........
A Quick Story, I posted some time ago about how this web site helped me with my BP's housing, I was off on my temps, my hides, and my girl was not eating, so I got educated on this site and wham, she eats every week now, one small rat! Yesterday I went and bought a rat at about 3PM, I always feed her at night so I put the rat into a large plastic Rubber Maid thing right next to Matilda's house and went off to my son's Little League game, got home at about 8PM, and dropped the rat into her house. The rat ran right into the hide that Matilda was in, as soon as it went in there all we heard was a small sqeak and that was it for this rodent. It was like Matilda knew what I was doing, it was almost like she was already in hunt mode. She generally likes to hunt for a bit and stalk her prey, but this time it was instint, and I think the rat just picked the wrong hide!

Congratulations. Proper husbandry will reconcile 99% of the problems that face reptile keepers. I'm glad you got your setup correct and your snake is eating well for you. Now get prepared for a long, healthy relationship.

All I have to do is walk into the house with a brown paper bag and they are all rdy to eat. They know whats up, they do learn quick.

Snakes may not do higher math but they really do seem to understand routines especially feeding night ones. :) Usually on the day of feeding around here I'll go into the snake room earlier in the day and find them in their preferred lurking positions. Some are peeking out of their hides, some are coiled on top of their hides, some (especially the big mature ones) are just out there - obviously ready to take care of business LOL. That's one of the reasons we don't handle on feeding day, they are all primed and ready to go.
