Signs would be excessive yawing, mucus being discharged from the mouth, earlier staged symptoms would be wheezing or popping sounds. Not sure on the cost because I've yet to deal with one.

RI's are usually caused by too much humidity and too little heat, what are you measuring your temps with? What are your hot and cold side temps? Humidity?

Are you housing your two snakes together?

they are both weezing every once in a while. temps never reach under 78-79 on the cool side and 89 on the hot side.. in my one tank... for some reason the one flexwatt doesnt work as well as the other 2. the other 2 tanks are always 80-83 and 90-93. i use digital acurite. my humidities are kinda high sometimes due to the temp tubs they are in.

If you already have holes in them and still have high humidity trying running a fan in the room. 78-79 is a bit low trying getting those cools side temps to 82-84 and hot side to at least 90-94.

Edit: You should really consider taking them to the vet as RI's can get serious without treatment.

well for my vet, its $42 for a check up, but for the treatment itself it's $30 so it comes out to $72 in total. thats my vet...idk about vets in your area.
