    Putting Bp tanks in Closet.
hey i wanna know if anyone put their ball python cages in closet. I have a good size closet and i am thinking about puting my Bp in there. Its really dark and i think he would not be stressed. but my concerns is would he then not get use to me or have a hard time coming out the closet(lol). any suggestions? thanks

he'll do just fine as long as temps and humidity are right. There's someone on the forums that made use of their closet space and as far as I know, it worked well. :gj:

Snakes need some type of light cycle.

yeah if you're going to do the closet thing maybe get a day/night light and a power strip that can switch them automatically so your snake can have a day/night cycle. if you do that you should be fine bud :]

Or just keep the closet door open during the day so the ambient light from the room shines in a bit. ;)

Well I think the OP wanted the snake to feel more secure, hence his want to put it in the closet.

Sure...but unless there are wild parties going on in the room, I doubt the door being open somewhat will decrease the overall security of the small space.

I have two of my snakes in my closet I keeo the doors open during the day with a good light source then I close the closet doors and shutt off all lights an its time to sleep. Keep in mind though I live in florida so its like 77-79 in my room ery night and i have the two tanks hooked up to a thermostat, so if the temp gets low the purple night heat lights will turn on automatically.
