Pillowcase or no?

I'm taking Zim (corn snake) to class tomorrow and I have a little plastic tub complete with handle and ventilation holes. I was wondering if I should put him in a pillowcase and then the tub, just put him in the tub without anything, with newspaper, or something else?

Its supposed to be warm tomorrow and the ride is about 20min.

I use a pillow case or something similar even when its warm out. They seem more relaxed after the trip. I'm sure the closeness and dark of the bag makes it less stressful.

I would say bag em to keep em calm then box the bag to protect em during transport.

Will do. And would it be safe to have Zim out for a long period of time. He's great with handling and such, and I don't want him being in that bag all class.

Last time I brought Cleo to college with me, he was in a little knapsack that I kept close to my chest in my hoody - he loved it, think maybe just knowing he was close to his Momma...LOL.
He just loves hanging on me, must be his favorite gym??

Yup just like everyones said "Bag them" snakes dont like so much activity going around in front of there eyes. So when you bag the corn itll feel secure not seeing people walk buy. Not seeing your body move forward and back towards the tub scaring him. I dont want to be the one to tell you this but you should have the sanke in the classroom for awhile. I bet the snake is gonna be freaked out by so many visiters tapping on the tank, and from so much movement.

I won't let anyone tap on the tank and if people want to touch him or hold him, they will do it a few at a time. Half the class most likely will not want to come near him.

Go with the pillowcase. When people who don't like snakes see it they won't know what is inside right away. I can never understand why people hate snakes so much. Also the snakes seem less spooked when they are put in a pillowcase or snake bag when you transport them!

I used a nice thin pillowcase so Zim could get good ventilation. I am about to go into class in about 5 min. I can see Zim moving inside the pillowcase. She's not moving a whole lot, just checking things out.

I know a few girls will be freaked out. (They didn't even want to disect a perch and were doing the whole "Ew, you do it." "No, you do it." thing.) Thankfully, I sit at the table closest to the door, so Zim will be far away from any that are frightened of her.

(If anyone is confused as to why I'm switching from him to her, its because when I had her sexed, they said she was female and I'm just now starting to make the pronoun switch.)
