The lighting in your pic is off so its hard to tell, but The one on the left looks like a Burgundy and the one on the lright looks like an IMG or Desrt Ghost (It is not a desert ghost just looks similar)

The flash did not mess with the color of his tail. He starts out a light brown then looses the brown the farther you down his body. His tail is white.

It looks like one of those snakes that loses it's pigment during a shed. It seems that a few of those pop up every year. As far as I know, it's never been proven to be a heritable trait, but who knows?
