Sand!

ok so im playing on getting a leo that is roughly 6 inches long, and from what ive read, isnt it ok to put a leo this big on sand? the guy at the store said so :D, lmao i know its frowned upon to say that around here...

sand really isn't a great choice because of impaction issues. also if you have a male and sand gets in his vent he could lose one or both hemipenes if it become irritated due to the sand.

Like already said, stay away from sand or any loose substrates for leos. With leos short digestive track, its just a matter of time before it gets backed up. Go with paper towels,newspaper,tiles,or slate rock..
