    Happy Easter Indeed :)
Yesterday, I called my mom and was talking to her about how I was doing. I hadn't realized before this weekend that Easter was coming up, so I found myself on a VERY empty campus, and my boyfriend had to work overtime, and I was just lonely and sad.

So, I got all emotional on the phone, and we got into a conversation about how I should be more social with my life...and I agree. I'm kind of a recluse. I'm going to try and do at least one non-academic, non-gym oriented social thing a week from now on :)

But anyway, that's off-topic. Shortly after I got off the phone with my mom, all red-eyed and sniffley, she called back to say that she and Dad were going to drive out to take me to lunch today.

I just love my parents...it's so good that I've got such a good relationship with them and I'm just so grateful. So, they came up this afternoon and we had lunch at Texas Roadhouse then came back to my apartment to hang out for a little while before they headed home--it's a 3 hour drive each way, and they don't really like long trips...so I appreciate what they did, just to make me feel better.

I insisted on pictures, so I'll post them, too :) Here's me with each one:

Yay for Easter and awesome parents! :sunny:

It's good to hear you had some time with your folks on Easter! It's cool that your parents would do something they don't like just to be with you, you are one lucky girl!!

    Sarah & Matt:
I know it. I'm super lucky... most people I know don't have a very close relationship with their parents (if they have much of one at all), so I feel very fortunate that I do.

Great parents raise great adults Kim and they've obviously done a wonderful job with you hon since you recognize that what they did for you was a loving thing (some adult kids are very self-absorbed and wouldn't get that). I'm glad you had a wonderful day with your mom and dad.

You might want to think about volunteering in an area you enjoy or want to learn about. Not only is volunteering a wonderful thing and you tend to meet great people, but you help your community and it always impresses prospective employeers. A win/win situation. :)

That is so cool :) It is awesome to have a close relationship with your parents; not everyone can or does. By coming out to see you, that is just a gesture of awesome parents!
I think that volunteering is an excellent idea. I wish that I had more time to do it; finding people with similar hobbies and interests is great too.
