Our first POTM contest ended up with a TIE! In a few minutes, I'll be setting up a run-off poll that will run for three days to determine the final winner.
Congrats to both for such awesome pictures of their pets!

And lastly....some unfortunate confusion with our HOTM contest.
The BRB that won so many hearts has been voluntarily withdrawn from the contest by Royal_Tartan. It was right near the end of the polling period when Royal_Tartan noticed in the rules that no photoshopping of the pictures are allowed. (Beyond basic cropping and framing) He realized that his BRB image had been photoshopped to remove the original background and change it to the stunning black that we see. Once he realized that, he sent me a PM letting me know what had happened and asking me to withdraw his image from the contest. I have nothing but respect for him for his honesty and humble attitude in this matter.
His BRB will forever be a favorite picture around here, I think!

My plan was then to announce the 2nd place picture as the winner for March's HOTM contest. But when I went to the galleries to check on who the picture belonged to...I discovered that it belongs to westcoastjungle...who is our current HOTM winner. Current winners are not allowed to enter the same contest the following month. This was my fault for not catching that when I validated the image.

SO....long story finally brought to a close...we'll have a run-off with the remaining HOTM pictures as well. With the vast majority of the votes going to the top two pictures, it's simply not fair to try and choose a winner from the remaining.
