    can cresties eat banana?
I have a banana in my kitchen that's...er... gone past its prime(mushy, peel is brown.) :P Instead of throwing it away, I was wondering, could I put a little dab of it in the crestie cage as a treat?

Yep, I do it occassionally, and mine eat out of my fingers so it's easy to tell when they are done with it :) They got part of a strawberry the other night, one girl liked it and the other girl just walked away. Depends on their certain tastes I guess.

I guess I'm weird, hehe. I hold the whole banana up to them and let them eat what they want :) It's cute!

yummy banana! if you leave it mushed up for them make sure to remove it after about 24 hours--mashed banana gets nice and nasty when left sitting for too long.

I stirred it up with a little water so it would be nice and soft. The little red one came up and licked at it a minute ago. :)
