    Still MIA....
My mom got home last Sunday night, and called and said that Lilly wasn't in any of the hides I had set up for her. =/ She sented the hides we have set up and has been listening at night to see if she could hear her. So far no such luck, but I'm hopeing she will turn up soon...I miss her. :tears: I just have to hope that she hasn't found her way outside. We have so many cats and things, that there isn't a chance for her out there. And it's such an old house that she could get out. I just keep waiting for the call saying that they found her.... :please:

Ah, the whole reason I posted this was to ask if anyone had any ideas for trying to find a small BP? I started writing the post and forgot to ask completely :P And thanks for the good wishes and prayers!!!

Most often, BP's are found within 10-15 feet of their enclosures. Start your search where the cage is, and very slowly work your way out in wider circles. Check every possible nook and cranny, every crevice and hole. If it seems too small to possibly allow your BP to get in or through...check there! They have unbelievable abilities to squeeze through/into the smallest spaces.

Use a flashlight and carefully check behind every drawer and under every piece of furniture...inside every shoe...behind the toilet (seen pics of a BP crammed into the narrow space between the toilet tank and the wall!)...in or around anything warm like a computer tower or appliance. And I've heard many stories about someone turning a room upside-down/inside-out and not finding the snake...doing it again....and on the third try finding the snake behind a dresser drawer 4' from the cage....just to help you realize how easy it is to overlook them when they're really trying to hide.

Ah, yeah...her cage was in the open area between the kitchen and living room. I shreded the kitchen during the day I had to look for her, but it has been a week since anyone has been home, so there is no telling how far she explored during her free run of the house. My mom is going through the house again I believe.

check behind or under any appliances that give off warmth, like the back of the fridge.
