2 Questions...
I was feeding my CS his pinkie, When I checked back on him, when he was still in the container, he started to shake his tail (much like a rattler would :O), and struck at me, I never seen him do this before, or show any sign of aggression.
Has anyone seen this behavior before?
Also, I got my CS on 12/18/06, he was 34cm long, He just shed a few days ago and its 36cm. He is only a few grams (if that much) heavier, he doesn't look thin though. Is it normal to only grow that much in 4 months or so? All the temps/humidity are right, I also have a UTH set up for him, I feed him once a week. I keep him on paper towels. Should I up the feeding to every 5 days or so?

I can't speak on this I don't keep corns so their growth rate is a mystery to me.

He probably needs more than a pinkie a week, can he take fuzzies?

Re: 2 Questions...
The rattling is normal. My corn does not do it, but my fiance's king does and its the cutest thing ever.
As for the feeding and growth rate. I fed my corn a fuzzy a week (now he's up to hoppers) and I tracked his weight for a month. He started out at 50g and ended at around 57.

Re: 2 Questions...
You can't use the shed skin to tell how much a snake has grown. YOu'd need to weigh or measure the snake itself. If that's what you did, then I misread, sorry.
My one cornsnake rattles her tail too. She gets all full of herself. I think it's cute.
Sometimes snakes will grow slower, then suddenly take off in a growth spurt. If you can up the size of the prey that is usually preferable to increasing frequency of feedings.
The skin is sooo stretchy though, that it may be much longer or shorter once shed. I have a near 7 foot ball python shed(or did, the cat ate part of it) and I KNOW none of the ball pyhtons are that long! LOL.
