    Chicks!!!
19 days ago I got some eggs from friend who raises chickens, because they wanted some more chickens but they didnt have an incubator. My dad said it would be fine to try hatching them out. My hard work finally paid off when our first chick hatched this morning! I got it drinking and its doing great right now, just chirping its head off. It doesnt shut up and it gets kind of frustrating but you just look at it and its too adorable to get mad at! The next one is poking its way out of the shell as we speak, and the others havnt started peeping yet but they are rotating their eggs around by themselves. Heres some pics.

This is all of the eggs.

Did you have to rotate the eggs everyday?

Aw! I grew up on a farm and raised a few chicks that were abandoned by the mother. They are absolutely adorable when they're young and become quite tame... But then they get older... Yech...

Yes, three or five times a day to be exact. It was a pain in the butt but it pays off.

Ya, as soon as they start smelling theyre going back to my friends house. They used to have like 20 chickens but when we got the big snowstorm the snow was so high the coyotes were just walking over the chicken coop fence and taking their pick. Thats why they wanted more.

A guy at our herp society gave me some 20+/- chicks for feeders and boy oh boy were they annoying. I was going to keep them till they got bigger till I killed em off but I changed my mind after one night of sharing a room with them
