    Way overpriced?
So I was at the pet store today grabbing a mouse for Max and they have 2 adult albino pythons and a bumble bee python, all three priced at $7500/each....are they our of their minds or do these suckers really go for that much?

 I don't know about adults, but if they were hatchlings I'd steer clear.

Adult animals are usually more than babies. I would think an adult albino is worth 2 grand so 4 for the albinos and 35 hundrerd for the bumble bee. Thats not so much. How many adult albinos do you see for sale?

OOpps I thought it was 75 hundred for all three, no that's crazy.

If it's a nice high contrast large adult female albino ball python, the price is high but not too far out of range from what you would expect a petstore to try and sell it for.

Don't forget, a petstore needs to mark up their animals a lot more than a breeder since they pay higher prices initially. That animal probably cost them around 3-4 grand and they are attempting to make a profit.
Most of the petstores around here mark up 2 1/2 times what they pay.
When I was selling baby male balls to one of the stores a few years ago to move them fast, I would charge the petstore $20 per snake. They in turn would mark it up to $49.99 and blow them out the door since they were cheaper than most places and they were CB.
The crazy overhead petstores need to absorb seriously impacts the prices they need to charge (especially if it's a small store).

Good question. I have not seen any in petstores. I have seen pastels, albinos, and even a spider once but never a bee.

BTW, the prices I saw baby albinos at was $2499.99, the baby spider was $1799.99, and the pastels were all $999.99 (gotta love the pricing-makes it look cheaper with the .99 at the end:D )

the three are the stores breeders, so they arent technically for sale, but if someone really wanted one they would only take $7500.00 they have a few normal BPs, one is a mid age female for $129.00 and a few others in the $60-$89.00 range.

Now my buddy that owns a pet shop down in summer set KY, he only deals with exotic animals, just bought 24 baby Red Tail boas AND the breeding PAIR, for $800.00
