    UVA & UVB
    I have a Question, can you use UVA basking light with a UVB flourescent bulbs. I guess I'm asking if the UVA will interfere with the UVB.

    UVA does not interfere with UVB in any way. Most common bulbs put off UVA. What type of UVB are you using?

    You won't have any "interference" because UVA is a longer wavelength than UVB is. The UVA is put out by most reptile incandescent bulbs, while both UVA and UVB are put out by reptile flourescents. The 5.0 is good for most tropical turtles, tortoises, and lizards. 7.0+ is for the desert lizards/tortoises.
