    going from live to F/T
In order to save a ton of $$ in gas (i was having to drive 20mi for mice) and mice i recently ordered some vacuum sealed frozen mice & pinkies. the baby kingsnake is doing very well w the pinkies, but our baby BP is not so thrilled about the dead mouse...

we have only had him about 4-5wks and he ate live mice until i attempted the thawed one yesterday. it was nice and toasty and warm but he didnt seem to 'see' it..

are there any tips/tricks to get this to work??

    Thanks!

did you just drop the f/t mouse in or did you dangle it around for a few mins?

try to get the snake interested in eating the mouse by dangling it a little more.

one week of not eating should not be a problem for your baby bp. you should get a scale and keep up with measuring your snakes weight so you can tell if he is gaining or losing. bps can go off feed for many months and it can be stressful for the keeper. a scale will allow you to view any fluctuations in weight allowing you to make more informed desicions when it comes to feeding and the health of your bp.

keep handling to a minimum and try f/t thawed again next feeding day.
