New carpet

I got this girl last weekend from the Richmond Reptile Expo after I went looking for another carpet. I have one that I rescued a while back and she's doing well and I really like the active disposition of the carpets so I decided to get another. I actually went looking for a high yellow jungle but saw this girl and knew she would be mine. I was told she was indeed a she and was a cross between a coastal and a jungle and was approximately 8 months old. What do you guys think? Looking at the markings and color I would say that she is indeed a cross but second opinions are always a good thing. At any rate, I think she's a great looking carpet and was glad to pick her up. She's about 30 inches long and the color is actually a bit lighter than the pics show. Let me know what you all think! (The gloves in the pics are there because she bit me twice at the show with bare hands and one billion times putting her into her new home with the gloves on...)

I agree she has the classic look of a jungle x costal cross. I really wondered why anyone would do that when I first heard about it years ago. The results speak for themselves thought don't they.

The other side is some jungles are that classic high black and bright yellow. But others are kind of "muddy" they just don't have that huge contrast with bright black and bright yellow. My new jungle is just that way (got her today) she is pretty in her way but not the stunning jet black, bright yellow that command top dollar.

Yet take a snake like that, breed it with a nice costal and the sum is indeed more then its' parts.

Nice snake, you should be proud of her! On the biting they always settle down, just do a lot of short duration gentle handling, she will loose the fear, that is why she is biting, remember everything eats little pythons in the wild, EVERYTHING.
