Can you do that? Can you inbreed?? or is it like humans where you do that and funky stuff starts happening?

Re: Inbred?
I'm pretty sure it's alright as long as you mix in a snake from a different line every once in a while.

100% het pied mald bred to a normal makes 50% possiable hets for pied. Grow up the females and breed them back to their father and see if you get pieds. Grow up the males breed them to a female 100% het pied and see if you get pieds. you can get some pretty good results if your paitent. You never know some breeders prove out loads of poss het stuff this way.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll try and tone it down. When you breed an animal that is het for something say pied to a normal all the offspring will be 50% het for pied. Meaning that each offspring has a 50/50 shot at being het for pied. Now theres no way to tell which one carries the gene so to "prove them out" you grow the females up, breed the females back to dad (if he was the het of the two parents) and see if you get pieds. If you breed two of the girls back to dad and get pieds from one then you know for sure that she is also 100% het for pied and you breed the boys to a female het pied to see if any of them are hets. Now the other unproven girl or guy might be too and the odds weren't in your favor with her or him so you try again next year. This can take time but can have HUGE pay offs in the end of producing very expencive morphs with just one het and normals.

It is always better to breed unrelated animals together. :)
