    Escape!
So after asking people how they keep track of their snake records, I decided to move mine to degi.

So I figured I'd weight my snakes, I go to open Camilles cage and checked her hides, SHE WAS GONE! Now, It's my own fault. She doesn't have clips on her cages, and I have an extra pair of clips, that I just never put on there. I've never even seen her reaching up towards the top of the cage, so I never worried about putting the clips.

Slithers and Sammy both ahve to have em cause they reach up and push against the top every so often. But camille never had, so I never bothered. So, she's out. I looked all over for her and we couldn't find her. So right now the dogs are on lock down and we're looking for her. Also I keep it about 70 in the house so I set up 3 or so clamp lamps around that are turned on and facing the ground, that way maybe we'll wake up and she'll be under one to keep warm. Other then that we're still just looking around.

So now a new rule is now in place, no cages without clamps. (switching to racks soon anyway)

    Period. No exceptions!

    I'll keep you guys updated.

(one good thing is we got some new rats)

Yeah one of the other places I check often is under her cage. I have two cages on a stand, and her's is on the bottom and I figure it's gotta be warm under there due to the under tank heater, and considering its only about 4 inches off the ground she's got enough room to squeeze in there and keep warm :-pthe poor girl is gonna miss feeding day today.

    Re: Escape!
I don't know if the room she was in is carpeted or what but since my girl excaped in the kitchen (lots of places to hide in there...) I sprinkled flour on the floor so I could see if she came out. It didn't actually work (that was last night) but I don't even know if she is in the kitchen. It's an idea that has the potential to work I think :P I think I'm going to do it again just around the edges of the room..... It isn't too hard to clean up either. ( my mom would KILL me if I just left it like I wanted to haha)

everything but our bathrooms and kitchen are carpeted so that wont work, but we have tried things like laying some aspen bedding down and see if any of it is moved. We'll see what happens!
