HELP ASAP! My 'boy' just layed eggs!!!!
I have a bearded dragon that was sold to me as a male, but 'he' started acting funny a week ago and tonight layed a bunch of eggs. Thirteen total. She's still trying to dig around, should i put a laying box in the enclosure? I read on beardeddragons.org that if i don't it will cause egg binding and death? Please help me!
She is just over a year old and has not been in contact with any other bearded dragons. She is kept on ceramic tile, which she keeps trying to dig. Is there anything i shoudl change in her diet etc? Any info you have is much appreciated. thanks!

it is proabbly to late to incubate them. the best thing you can do is freez them and just throw them away. yor bd if is going to be fine and i bet will be relly hungery. so make sure to feed well. with a lot of calcium. if you have any other questions just ask.

and not having a laying box will not cause them to get egg bound. well i have never had a problem. others may have. just keep an eye on her. make sure she is pooping. if she dosnt poop for a whial. then i would start to worry.

thanks matt. they wouldn't have been fertile anyway so i just threw them away. she was really hungry and downed a bunch of dusted crickets yesterday. i'm not really sure what triggers their breeding behavior as she has never been around any other beardies. is it seasonal like BPs? how often will she lay eggs and if she starts displaying this behavior again, should i give her an egg box?
thanks for your help. This was totally unexpected, as i was absolutely convinced she was a "he". On the bright side, I got a female for a very good price. :). Thanks again!

lots of food and water after laying eggs... that's what's really important for them. if you have access to butterworms (calcium) silkworms (protien) that would be an excellent addition to her diet. (now and forever actually)

congrats on getting a girl! we thought raphael was a boy too until merlin mounted and bred her.
