    anyone using Cypress mulch?
quick question about cypress. I was thinking about using it to help humidity in my main cage during winter months.

question: is it easy to spot urine on cypress? I am worried that it's dark color will result in me missing a spot when cleaning.....what's your experience?

    thanks

I uses cypress on about half of my reptile enclosures and have never really had an issue with spot cleaning...I see everything just fine(although sometimes it is not as 'obvious' as with aspen). I think it all really depends on you and how well you notice things. I would recommend giving it a shot....cypress mulch is not that expensive and if you don't like it then you could always switch back :)

Cypress is probably the only thing I havent tried...I have used newspaper, unprinted newspaper, sani chips, aspen, repti-bark, astro turf, and paper towels...

Aspen is what I am using now though and it works fine...
