To much in tank?
Alright, so i have 2 hides on each side, i have a 20 gallon tank. Is there such a thing as having it TOO crowded in there? Do they need alot of open space? I've recently added some things to it and it's getting KIND of cramped, but alot of it is just like branches.
Is this okay, or is it better to just have a more simple setup, and not alot of things in it? He has lots of place to hide, and want not, so i figured it may make him more comfortable?

Re: To much in tank?
open spaces will stress the ball python.
In terms of having too much, put what you want in there (as long as it wont hurt the snake that is) just remember, the more that's in there, the more you have to clean. I have one tank that's very nature looking, with coconut husk, rocks, rock hides, rock bowls, some branches and faux plants, then another that has these crumbling roman/Greek pillars, and all of that.
The snake doesn't care what it looks like as long as you cover their needs. at least 1 hide on both sides of the cage (basking and ambient temps) I did have one cage that had about 4 or 5 hides just throughout the cage but you dont have to. and their water in case they need it. Other then that you're fine.
Your snake is probably fine with the branches, I wouldn't worry about it

Alright cool, i figured it'd probably make the snake less stressed out.
and personally i just want him to be happy, i have no problem cleaning more if it's better for him. Little elbow grease and time is the least i could do for him for the happyness he brings me :carrot: :sunny:
