Help!!!!!!!!

i just bought a male bp on saturday and all week he has been fine but right now when i went to change the water he just started striking anything and everything in the cage is this cus hes new and not acclimated or is he possibly just a bad egg. its been a while and i left the room and went back like 0 mins later and he is still in the pisssed off im gonna strike posture what do i do?
i never had this problem with my female shes the ideal python friendly. please help i think he may hurt himself he keeps hitting the glass pretty hard.

I don't think there's any such thing as a "bad egg." He's striking because he's scared. What sort of enclosure is he in? Hopefully something relatively small...with at least two snug-fitting hides.


To help him feel more secure...cover the sides of the glass with paper he can't see through...solid on three sides, and about six inches up on the front so you can still see in, but he can't see out unless he tries. And fill the tank with loosely crumpled newspaper. After his first successful feeding...take a few pieces out, but leave most of it in. And then, after each successful feeding, take a few more pieces out.

Hopefully that'll help settle him down some. If not...much patience and very gentle persistence will.

All the temps correct? Humidity?

Mine had that problem for a bit, but he's settled down. He still gets upset every once in awhile, is it possible he's in shed?

i will try the covering up of the sides makes sense and yeah the humidity and temps are pefect. its just srange cus hehas been fine and has alrready fed on two mice i gave him yeterday. thanks guy and thanks for deleting he duplicate i dont mean t be impatient but im just worried and i cant wait all night lol. thaks lot though. im sure iwill be back on here in a day or s to give an update. thanks again

Sorry, i hit reply and forgot, did you say as soon as you got him like a couple of days in he started getting upset and striking alot? Or have you had him for awhile and he's now starting to do this?

When i first got mine, he was so gentle, and friendly, curious, always active, then he started to kind of lay low, never saw him much and he started getting aggresive for a couple to few weeks. I think the problem was the temps and humidity weren't correct, and he has since not been so bad now that i've got them under control.
