    Family Emergency
    Well, Amy(my wife) is in Tulsa, OK. Her dad and step mother were in a serious car accident, her step mother was killed and her dad is in critical condition in the ICU part of the hospital. So she had to suddenly leave and head down there monday evening. Unfortunately with the rodents, snakes and dog I wasn't able to go with her. But I probably won't be around much until this gets sorted out, between caring for all the animals by myself and coordinating phone calls etc my time is spread pretty thin. I will keep you all informed. Please keep them in your prayers.

    Here is article from local paper.

    Mason City woman killed in Oklahoma accident;
    husband, Plymouth woman critically injured

    By BOB LINK, Of The Globe Gazette

    MASON CITY — A 62-year-old Mason City woman died and two North Iowans were injured in a five-vehicle accident Monday near Tulsa according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

    Jill Larson sustained massive internal and head injuries in the accident, which happened at 11:36 a.m.

    Larson’s husband, Jim Larson, 64, and Sara Erickson, of Plymouth, were also injured in the accident. Both were listed in critical condition at St. John Medical Center, according to the Oklahoma Patrol.

    Sara Erickson is the Larsons’ grandson's wife. According to friends of the family, the Larsons’ grandson, James Erickson, had just completed military boot camp at Ft. Benning, Ga., and they had been there for his graduation.

    The Department of Transportation closed the westbound lanes of the interstate for more than three hours and 45 minutes, the patrol said.

    Jill Larson and Erickson were passengers in a pickup truck driven by James Larson. They were headed west on the highway when a car driven by Amanda Holland left the roadway and over-corrected, hitting Larson's vehicle, troopers said.

    The Larsons’ vehicle lost control, went through the median and into the westbound lanes, where it was struck by a large delivery truck. Both vehicles hit a van and another vehicle was struck by debris, the patrol reported.

    Jill Larson was pinned in the wreckage for about two hours before being freed by Tulsa firefighters, troopers said.

    According to Larsons’ neighbors in Mason City, the couple had been gone for approximately one week. They were due to be back home some time today.
