    CHE, it needed?
I FINALLY HAVE THE PERFECT TANK! 95.6 degrees warm side and stable. Cool side is 81.7 degrees and humidity is 47.5%.....NO CHE IS IN USE. The second I turn my CHE on the whole tank gets fubard and there is no controlling it....will Max be ok with no heat lamp of any kind?

Yep! Heat lamps aren't necessarry at all unless you direly need the extra heat. THe heat lamp would suck up any of the humidity in there. :)

don't they need to "bake"? and thats the temp of the UTH over on the warm side, I'm not sure what the air temp is over there. still ok?

Yep, basking heat isn't as necessary as the "belly heat" that the UTH provides. :)

gratz! i just achieved mine as well. :) i have 2 small heat lamps though. one has a night time red bulb so i can see her and one is a normal basking light. i bought a stand and raised both bulbs as high off the tank as possible and i just use them for day and night lights they are on timers from 7am-7pm is day time and 7pm to 7am is night so she has the effect. funny how i went and bought way more things then i need to try and achieve temperature that i achieved with only 1 UTH :P

You aint kidding, this snake costed me alot more then I expected, but I'm happy to have him. Luckily The only thing I bought and dont need is my CHE. At the time of getting him I didnt know I needed a UTH, thermometers, thermostats, etc etc. But I dont regret any of it.

Is it okay to not have a UTH and have a heat lamp? That's what i use, NO UTH, and my Temps are fine, as is Humidity.

If i were to ever change that around, I have mine in a room where it's dark, except for during the day when i turn on the lamp and room light. Then at night it's very dark, except for my red bulb that i use at night to maintain the heat.
