    My female norm BP's eyes?
I was looking at my snake last month and noticed that she had a dent in each eye. I thought it was because she was close to shedding and maybe the skin was crimped up or something. Just last week she sed and still looking at her eyes she still has like a dent in each eye. almost like someone took a pen and crushed the center of her eye a bit on each one. Does anyone know what this is?.. she see's fine I believe because she eats well.. I know she recognizes when something walks by her or passes by her.?? I'm clueless here!

Dents in the eyes are generally from low humidity. What is the humidity of the enclosure?

Try Lowes they also carry the accurite thermometer. Where on long island are you located?

Remember, "wet" doesn't necessarily mean "humid." If you live in a very dry house, it is your best bet, regardless of how much you may like the "natural look" of a glass tank, to switch over to plastic housing.

Yes, it will go away once you get the humidity situation permanently addressed. It may take a few sheds, though.

Target, Lowes, Home Depot...all carry the same or similar digital thermometer/hygrometer.

No, the problem is not permanent. Usually a steady, proper level of humidity will sort it out, but it can take some time.

Yes.. the tanks are fine looking.. but now that I have 3 snakes it takes up way to much room to have tanks and I'd much rather have a rack system! Anyone suggest a certain rack system. I plan on getting another two snakes in the future so I might be looking for a five draw rack. I was looking at Jason's Jungle site and was thinking of purchasing one of his, but when I went to the Reptile expo the guy who sold me the spider bp said that there is a guy who has a website in Virginia or Maryland I forgot which he said.. but he said that the racks were much better the plastic is very thick and would never sag causing stuck draws? Anyone know about this rack company? Anymore suggestion would be deeply appreciated! You guys rock!

I actually just place an order with Boaphile for their 5 drawer sideways blanket rack. I like this rack because it give me the option of housing 10 smaller babies or 5 sub adults or a combination of the two.

Here's the link if you're interested. When you get down to the numbers I found boaphile was the lowest priced per tub while still maintaining a high quality product. I can't wait for mine to get here.

I had humidy problem. In the DIY forum here, it shows how to make a himidifier. I made one and my humidty is always 50 - 60%. The only thing I changed for the plans was I use a 1/2 gallon jar instead of the Gatoraid bottle - check it out it might help.
