    Max is boycotting heat... >.<
So I just fed Max, and went with everyones advice and went with a bigger mouse this time. hes 6 months old and 20 inches long and I have been giving him fuzzies and hes been downing them easily enough. Some suggested I got bigger so I got a medium adult today. I plopped it in the cage and damn thing ran right into Max's hide, the thing lasted maybe 10 sec in the cage. So it took max like 15 min before he finally started to eat the darn thing, he just kept looking at it and biting in different areas and then looking around. So he finally finds the head and eats it and goes right back into the hide on the cool side.....   .....Arent they supposed to be on the warm side to help with disgusting? Should I scoot him over to the warm hide above the heat mat to help him out?

Just leave him be. He will find heat when he needs to.
Also are you sure your hot side is not "to hot"?

My girl goes to her cool side sometimes when she eats and i have never had a problem. That could just be where she feels comfy
