    Need help building boa enclosure!
I'm looking to build my own enclosures for my boas. I'd like for them to be made out of wood, but I'm just seeking ideas, suggestions, ANY help at all.

So, please, if this has been posted before, please direct me to the thread(s). Any websites that would be helpful, any information and help at all will be highly appreciated. I have an idea of what I'll have to do, but I want to hear from some experts.

Thank you so much in advance! My boas will be very happy, too!

I'm very sorry, as I'm sure this has been posted before. I will continue to surf through older threads, as well as hope for replies. :)

Some of the best cage building info I have found and read is http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/tips.shtml
Clay is a great guy and builds lots of caging

And look there, there are a few of those designs that would be perfect for boas.
If you decide mot to build one, I would go with boaphiles. Pretty reasonable in price and GREAT cages

There is so much work that goes into building a wooden cage that I would go with a boaphile or animal plastic. I've hit this point with my racks. At first the thought of saving money is nice but once you get working on it, putting some overtime in at work sounds like a better idea. There is some exceptions like custom jobs, but plastic cages have came down so much that you can get one for just a couple bucks more than making a wooden cage.

Don't skimp on material, make it out of melamine. I make mine with MDF and put 4 or 5 coats of sealant over it and urine still soaked into the wood and smelled horrible! For the price of PVC cages you can build at least 2 4x2 enclosures. Get Home Depot to cut the melamine and save some time. Putting it together is a snap.
