Vik eats his first live mouse (video)
    Hi everyone

Here's a video I made dedicated to my first bp, Viktor. Due to all the great advice I've gotten on this forum, everything has been going fantastic lately and we've been getting along perfectly.

I did some super slow mo shots of the strike. Parts of the video were shot at different times. Before I get mauled on husbandry comments :) I'd like to point out a few things - the pastic temp gauge came with the tank has since been removed (on his first tank cleaning) and his slightly incomplete shed has also come and gone. Just want you all to know I'm taking care of him :D I removed his water dish just for this feeding.

Shots were done on a DVX100B with stock lens. No color correction. A bit dark in the beginning, but it gets better.

    Lewdogg3 - I got the hide here
Cheap (the small one), and guaranteed identical!

Thanks for watching. I wasn't a big fan of live feeding (I had never done it before) but yesterday I had the urge. It is pretty gruesome.

That thread I posted before about Vik hating me was the greatest thread I've ever posted on any forum. Since then, nearly "next day" from that thread, things between us got exponentially better. What a difference now!

I was going to re-post my grattitude in that thread but I didn't want to whip a dead horse.

Awesome video man. I to only live feed, all the nasty stories I read about frozen will make me never do it. Plus I would think the snake prefers life. Great video.

Lewdogg3 - I love the hides. Initially I bought a medium one but it was too big for my guy (he's only 4 months old) so I grabbed a couple of small ones. I really like them. Before I was using a couple of pepsi 12 pack long cutouts. Those worked well too.

Thanks everyone for your comments about the video.

This is my first time live feeding and I don't think I'll ever go back. I could tell Vik was like "wtf?" the way he hung on to it for awhile and looked at it before he devoured it. It was totally new to him. If he ever gets bitten I might reconsider.

I have a petstore like 300 feet from my apartment now too. I didn't know until yesterday that they had mice.
