Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
I was pretty into Werewolf for a while, in particular the Wild West module but my group disintegrated, as such are wont to do, and it's been years since I've played. I miss it, but don't have time to find another group.
I did kinda like being the only girl at the table though. :-P
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
Ugh, I wish I could be spared being the only girl in the room. :P
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
I played D&D....25+ years ago. :O And about 20 years ago, I was playing a pen & paper game called Rolemaster that was way better than D&D, but never took off in the same way. But haven't played any since....just no time for that sort of thing anymore...not for decades.
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
I'm probably the one of only girls on the planet that's played D&D before. Frankly, I like having stuff in front of me(other than well..... pen and paper. :P ) that's why I play World of Warcraft now. Unfortunately, I don't remember jack squat about my adventures in the epic world of D&D. :)
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
 I play D&D! I haven't been able to play since last semester, since our game kinda petered out after players graduated, and I haven't found a new group (good DMs/players are hard to come by).
I started with 2nd ed in High School (my high school D&D buddies still INSIST 2nd ed is better--and refuse to play 3rd or 3.5). None of our campaigns were long enough to get any high-lvl characters, a couple players took turns DMing their own campaigns.
At college I began playing 3.0/3.5...I've played Neverwinter Nights for PC, so I was slightly familliar with the 3.0/3.5 systems, but it was still an adjustment.
My fav character in D&D was a half-elf bard named Faeren Starshaede :) She was a better lock-picker than our thief and a lot of fun to play.
I briefly played V:tM in high school--not my cup of tea. I also played a Raveloft campaign for a bit that was weird in a really neat way. But my favorite game to date was a Dark Ages: Fae campaign my ex ran. I was a fire inanime named Chandra--and I was AMAZINGLY awesome. She is, by far, my favorite character ever to date.
I miss D&D...my dice are sitting in my dresser, just itching to be tossed. Nat. 20 all the way when I break them out again--they've had lots of time to get lucky :D
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
So far, looks like 100% D&D girls REPRESENTING!
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
D&D is totally for girls. I prefer it to WoW (which I've also played) because I really prefer having the paper stats and everyone I'm playing with right there in front of me.
Even if they eat everything in my fridge...

I've played WoW, too (I'm on hiatus ;) )...and I definitely prefer D&D. There's something really awesome about table top. It's about 40% game play and about 60% goofing off with your friends. I'm usually the only girl in attendance when I've played...at least genetically. A few of my guy friends have played female characters...which is another weird thing in and of itself.
I about died playing the last campaign I was in, 'cause my friend Ben insisted on playing a girl. It's hard to look your guy friend in the face and call him "Amina". Especially when his character was WAY more feminine that my character was :D
Re: Pen and Paper gamers!
Pen and paper? Like tic-tac-toe? :D
Try this: Draw the shape in the picture (yeah, I drew it in Photoshop with a laptop trackpad/mouse, so it looks bad) without lifting your pen/cil or doubling back on any of the lines. I've done it three times but forgot how to, so I'm stuck trying over and over again. :P
