    Freshly Shed Pics of Cara
Well Cara (06 normal female BP) was in shed last week....

and I promised Robin some freshly shed pics of this pretty girl so here they are...

Cara from above, showing off her nice flames...

From behind, shows off her nice neck stripe and her cute neck spot...

What a pretty face! Her head is getting progressively darker, like chocolate velvet...we think she's going to be a very lovely adult....

Just weighed her today and she's a nice solid 400 grams empty, post-shed.

She's stunning, Jo! I can't wait to watch her to continue to grow and mature! Thing is, it's almost impossible to capture just how stunning her flames are!

Thanks for posting her post shed pictures!

What a difference a shed can make! She looks great! Pardon my asking a complete newbie question, but what are "flames"?

Welcome hon. It is hard for me with my limited camera skills to capture both Cara and Riordan, the YB, properly when it comes to the flames. I'm going to take some more pics of the collection today and may even try for a nice picture of Cara and Riordan together. :)

Flames are the lighter areas on the side that extend up from the belly between the pattern.

Blushing is lighter areas on the back, between the dorsal spots!

Well I was quite impressed with our little junior herper. Mikey wanted to hold Cara while I was talking on the phone with Robin this morning and as soon as I put her into his hands he said "she feels like she just shed Mommy". He's learning so much about the snakes and really getting a feel for them...I'm a proud momma! :)
