    scales
i pulled out my bp today and found that there was a bite-looking thing on her back. i was not the one who supervised feeding this time, but the person who did said that she got it in 3 seconds, and that it may have gotten to her. she also said that the rat's head was not near the snake...i'm not sure. but i found this one along with 3 other, very small spots where the scales look grayish. kind of like a stuck shed. any idea what is going on? i only have damp moss in her hide when she's shedding. she stays in her warm hide all the time, and i am working on getting a temp controller. its not quite where it should be yet. but her belly is very clean. i don't know what is going on...

i'll try to get pictures, but we recently hooked up internet to our other computer, and unfortunately, only one works at a time. this also means that the photos that i took (although not very clear) are on the computer that usualy works...as soon as i get it working i'll post some pics...

The little grayish scales are perfectly normal. Just a bit of "dry skin" so to speak.

As for the bite wound...was the skin broken? If so, a little dab of neosporin on it might be helpful. It should heal up just fine.

Looks to me like a possible nip from a mouse, or it might have fotten scrapped on something in the cage when shedding. but thats just my opinion.

Yeah, it looks like a little nibble took some scales off. Doesn't look like the skin is actually broken, though...or if it was, its already healed up. It'll go away with a couple of sheds. (After the first shed, it will look a lot better, but may be a bit discolored)

And you might want to check around the enclosure to make sure there's nothing sharp or pokey that she might have rubbed up against.
