Getting Worried

I know you guys get this all the time but here goes:

Since ive had my bp hes only eaten for me twice, each time was 3weeks apart. Hes now not eaten for 4 weeks come saturday. Ive reduced handling down to a minimum and his temps ect are as follows;
Hot side substrate: 91-93 f hot side ambient: 84-87 f
Cold side substrate: 80-83 f cold side ambient: 79-82 f
Humidity: 40-60%

Hes about 28" long and looks to be getting on the slim side.
This is his set up sorry bout the pic, you can hardly see the cool side hide.

The tank looks awefully bright and are there any hides on the cool side? I think you need a bit more hides and fake plants to cover up most of that open space. And try to keep the humidity up at 50%. If everything is perfect, temps, humidity, security and your feeidng right and your snake still doesnt eat I believe a Herp vet should see him.

Has the snake been checked by a vet for internal parasites?

The pic looks very bright dont know what happened there, the cool side hide is in front of the therm on the right. Its an exo terra medium cave just so you know what to look for! Hes going to the vet next w'end but hopefully he'll have eaten by then. I must have bad luck with snakes my seemingly healthy 3yo corn died last year so am doing my best here. Also the temps here in bonnie scotland are rather cold just now and ive heard that bp's can be affected by barometric pressure in the winter making them fast?

I think what Kitty said is pretty sensible. Your BP is a little guy--and wide open spaces can make them stressed out. Adding more hides/crumpled up newspaper/shrubbery could make him feel more safe. He might be feeling stressed and insecure because of the large enclosure.

Bp's prefer privacy and tight places if the tank is too big for him it may be afraid/stressed. Most of my larger males don't eat well in the winter but breed with gusto. I have some that will go months without eating and others in the same conditions and eat like clock work. What you are feeding?

This enclosure can definitely be overwhelming for a young BP, you should either make it more secure by filling up the empty space or you should downsize and put him in a smaller enclosure (glass tank or plastic tub) until he is full grown.

He said in his original post that the snake's about 28" long and is now on the thin side. :)

I am feeding f/t mice he only took white ones! Bought a 16ltr low tub today for £3, going to set it up today and put him in tonight and try feeding in a weeks time. Thanks for your help everyone. ps i'll post a couple of pics later of the tub.
