    My hides.
    Hi Everyone...
Just wanted to get an opinion. I took everyone's advice in getting two hides in each of my tanks. If you notice you'll see a little black bowl in the center under the tree which I believe is a cooler spot, and then I have the carved logs on the far right near the heat tape. I smoothed out the cut out doors on the bowls with a lighter by melting the plastic. In this picture my female norm. BP is hiding in the carved log.

This picture is the same thing just that its my other tank. I also added two wet towels that cover 3/4 of the screen to help keep humidity in each for each of the tanks (Although they aren't present in the pictures) Does that sound like a good or bad idea?
In this picture my Pastel Male is chilling under the black bowl

I eventually wanna buy a rack system like this one below and possibl add to my collection and breed them. I currently have my normal BP and a Pastel and would love to get a Spider, Mojave and an Albino. These BP's are very addicting!!! They are worse then tattoos are for some people!!! :D

    You're getting there!

One quick question, what do you mean by:

What are you measuring your temps with? Have you had a chance to pick up some digital thermometer/hygrometers from Walmart yet?

Yes I only got one thermometer per tank thus far. Believe me I'm TRYING very hard to get to where I wanna be. I have only had my BP's for a few weeks now and I spend mucho money every week to get more on point. So... the thermometer I have is a Coralife. You can see exactly what it looks like HERE. I place the probe in the center of the tank right now because I don't have two to messure both sides and I get a reading of about 85degrees.

Oh, I know that you're trying, if I implied otherwise, my apologies.

I'm not sure if you were aware that you can buy one unit for $12 at Walmart in their hardware section. It measures indoor and outdoor temps (indoor = cool, outdoor = warm) AND humidity. The brand is AcuRite.

You can even buy it online here:
    http://www.weatherconnection.com/pro...p?itmky=529964

In the picture, the top reading is time, and you can switch that to temp, so you'd set the unit inside your enclosure (I actually velcro mine to the side) at ground level on the cool side of the enclosure and then run the probe to the inside of warm side hide to measure warm side temps.

    Hope that helps!
