    New spidey! (A. seemanni)
Well, we went back to the cool local petshop today and picked up the (what I am guessing to be) adult female A. seemanni. I have her in a 10 gallon with a ton of substrate, and a few neat hides. I will post pictures once I have access to the computer with the camera cord on it (that is where my husband is working right now).

My hand itches. She did not want to get out of the cup. I did the best I could with taking it slow and using a soft paintbrush, but I still have minor itchies. Poor gal had gone through a lot today... no biggie.

I have our little tank set up for the Pterinochilus Murinus that we plan to pick up tomorrow. I found a really cool tall and slim 2 gallon "tank". It is a bubble fish tank (ornamental) that came with plastic fish. I guess I am supposed to fill it with water and put in the plastic fish, and plug it in to watch the fake fish more up and down. Instead, I CUT the cord OFF, and scraped the fake fish... and it is a GREAT tank for a burrowing spider! I have it all set up purty in anticipation for the new pokie-sharp (what my son calls this spider... we have visited her a few times already).

But back to the A. seemanni.... She is very attractive. I like her. I have not come up with a name yet, but I am sure that I will before I sleep tonight.

I really love setting up habitats. It is a total zen garden effect... I respect those that keep their tarantulas in containers, but I enjoy tanks and display so very much - it is one of the main excitements of getting a new critter.

Anyway, pictures to come... and stupid asinine updates too I am sure.

    A. seemani are very cool spiders. I have a very large female.. she made her burrow right against the glass so you can always see her. It's pretty cool.
