    So Stoked!! This site ROCKS!!!!!
I have a BP that has been fasting since November. I finally got her to eat last night! SO STOKED! I just want to thank all on here who post pointers for people like me who don't know what they are doing. I have a much better understanding of how to set the BP house up and make them confortable. I abdobted this BP from a friend who was keeping it in a rabbit cage. It's hide was a log and a old shirt. It had a small water dish and a heat rock (bad old owner). I got rid of the cage and set up a glass inclosure (it's what was avail.). I have UTH and two lights, one for day time and a red light for night. My temps have been 90-92 on the warm side and 80-82 on the cool, she likes the cool side for some reason. Humity is around 60%, I think because of the large water bowl and we live next to the ocean. Also I tin foiled the top(left holes for light/vent) and taped the foil down with duck tape. I had been trying to feed her in a seprate container but she would not take the rat. So once I got her adjusted to the new temps I dropped a rat into her house last night, she calmly slithered her head out of her hide and waited for El Rato to come by and wham! I was so excited I celebrated, my wife thinks I'm nuts. :carrot: Thanks again for all the info people! Can't wait to feed her again, she needs to fatten up! When should I offer her another rat?

Great to hear you got her to eat. Sounds like you rescued her from a real bad situation.

Offer her food again in a week.. once a week is a good schedule to keep her on.

    Great to hear success stories.

In addition to waiting to feed her for a week, I'd advise not to handle her any more than you have to for cage maintenance. I personally don't like to handle my newcomers until they have eaten for me a few consecutive times with no problems. :)
