Well, the pics aren't great, and Sammy's "just" a normal, but we love him and that makes him special to us, even if my camera is is crummy. :D Here he is:

    Very nice little guy:rockon:

Every single BP is always special to their owner, whether they are normals or morphs, out of mine my favorite is "just" a normal.

Awww Sammy is cute! Normal, morph, het, whatever...the love and fascination we have for these beautiful snakes makes every one of them very, very special.

Thanks, guys! I know normal isn't "just" :D. But it *is* intimidating posting my humble pics among the dozens of gorgeous high-quality photos of everyone's incredible morphs.

But I do appreciate the comments. We think Sammy's pretty special. He's still not crazy about coming out of his tub, but he'll sit on my hand and look around the room for quite a long time now, apparently pretty relaxed. And we've only had him less than two months, so I have high hopes that he's going to be a great family pet. :)

Heather I know I speak for a lot of folks here when I say that if it weren't for the unique beauty of normals most of us wouldn't even own a ball python or be striving to breed morphs. It was likely a lovely normal that got most of us hooked on ball pythons and most every member here has more than one highly valued normal in their collection (I know Mike and I sure do). Never feel intimidated by posting pics of your lovely snake...you won't find a lot of "morph snobs" around BPNet. :)
