my parents are divorced and im planning to once again breed but this time with a pastel and spider which means this will be a big deal for me..so i want to know-is it ok to leave the eggs unattended in an incubator for 4 days a week? that also goes for the female and male

i will def. get some hatchrite....but you are saying it'll be fine and i wont have to be stressing when im not with them?

other than putting them in the incubator, its perfectly ok to leave them i nthere for 56 days and do nothing whatsoever?

also, what about the female and male?

I check on my eggs at least once a week maybe twice to make sure they are getting enough humidity(add water as needed) and to circulate fresh air.So if you were gone say 4 days i would check on them before you leave then as soon as you get back.

Assuming that you actually get a clutch of eggs while you're at where the snakes are set up, and set the clutch up in the incubator properly with a reliable tstat and correct humidity, then yes you should be perfectly fine. Fiddling with the eggs opening and closing the box too much can be detrimental, putting the eggs through heat swings. Set em' up, leave them be, look in once and a while to make sure everything is alright.

    Good luck!

Actaully, it could be a problem ...

A female sitting on eggs unattended for 4 days could cause problems for the eggs if they are laid directly on the heat tape and the tape is too hot or if the environment is too dry.

Eggs really need to be aired out daily their last week or so if they incubated in sealed egg boxes due to the additional heat build up in the final days.

Hatchlings left to crawl around in an egg box for 4 days could be a problem as well ... they really need to be setup in an enclosure with clean fresh water after they hatch.

And personally, I'm just a fan of checking on the adult animals every day to make sure there are no feces/urine in the water bowl ... to make sure the water bowl wasn't tipped and that the snake isn't sitting in a puddle of water ... and to clean the enclosure if it's soiled.

    Just my $.02.
