    The USB/software seems like a cool feature of the Herpstat, but 70$ for a simple USB cable is absurd. Does anyone know the pinout of this cable or know of another cable that would work? It seems like a simple mini jack to USB mini-B cable

    your paying for the software, too. thats why it costs so much
